Well, I received a rejection notice today. It was a personal note versus a form letter and it offered some really constructive feedback about my short story. The piece, it seems (and I must agree), is too passive. My main character in the story seems to have had many ups and downs, but all can be related to pure luck and coincidence. The editor suggested that the character be more active in his own fate, as that will invest the reader more in the story. Well, I’m really excited about seeing what the other publications have to say about that story. I have another short story and a poem (don’t laugh) floating around as well. Wish me luck and I’ll keep you posted….in the meantime, I’m going to keep writing.

I do wish you luck!! I’m so proud of you! I didnt realize that you were a writer. I am also an avid reader and would love to read anything you write. Todd’s aunt owns a small publishing company that publishes short stories by mostly local/regional authors and she sends me a copy of each new release to review.
